| Create a quiet, distraction-free online learning environment. Turn telephone ringers and pagers off. |
During the course:
| Take a 5-10 minute break for every hour you spend at the computer. | |
| Follow recognized ergonomic guidelines for posture, lighting and workspace positioning. | |
| Be self-motivated and self-disciplined. With the freedom and flexibility of the online environment comes responsibility. The online process takes a real commitment and discipline to keep up with the flow of the process. | |

Participate in the Discussion Board. Communicating with peers helps build long term relationships for future support. |

| Use what you have learned. Be sure to relate each training skill to a job skill. Studies have shown that retention is aided when new skills are put into practice soon after they are acquired. | |
| Make notes of any questions or problems with the course to report to the ETI Learning Center. |
